From the standard gray blocks of the early 1900s to the innovative, diverse
line of landscape and masonry products available today, Anchor Block Company has been a Midwest manufacturer of construction and landscape materials for 100 years.

It’s history began in 1909, at a time when homebuilders dug foundations by hand and used horses to haul Anchor's concrete basement blocks. Starting from a single plant serving the Twin Cities and making only 10 shapes of concrete blocks, ABC has grown steadily through organic growth, acquisition and innovative product development. Construction has certainly changed since they began production, and they have continued to evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of contractors, architects, homeowners, engineers and retailers.
